High 5 for Friday

Usually I'm really excited it's Friday.
But this Friday means that I only have two days left in Texas.
And I don't think I'm quite ready to go yet.  Kinda wish I could stay for one more week.

But I have a big girl job and I need to get back to it.

So lets get to my 5 favorite things from this week, shall we?

Photobucket

one.
My cousins wedding was great!
It was the first wedding on my Dad's side of the family so it was a pretty big deal for us.

two.
I got to spend some time at my grandmother's house.  And while we're all there one of our favorite things to do is watch all the home videos my grandmother has of us.  We just found out that she has videos of all of us on the day we were born.  From the hospital to the couple of visits they made to see us.  I snapped a few baby pictures of me from my video:

three.
My best friend and I went to Chicos's Tacos.
Its an El Paso tradition and is AMAZING!

four.
Cuddling with the cutie has been great.
(Even though I'm allergic to her).

five.
My mom made my favorite meal last night (which I forgot to snap a picture of, fried pork chops, bad blogger) and while she was cooking this was on.

After all these years I still love this movie.

GIRL POWER!

Have a great weekend y'all.
I'm off to spend the next two days with the other side of my family!

Eff, Marry, Kill

I was so excited when I found out that two of my favorite bloggers were coming together again for one of the most FUN link up parties in the blog world.

Once again it's time for:

photobucket

I have decided to use 3 men from the number 1 girl movie of the summer.
That was actually terrible, but as this pin from Pinterest says:

I've chosen 3 of these delicious males and they are as follows.

I WOULD:

EFF:
Mike
(Channing Tatum)

MARRY:
Ken
MATT BOMER
(I'm currently totally head over heels in LOVE with this man)

KILL:
Dallas
Matthew McConaughey
(I actually adore him, but in the movie he's creepy and kinda gross. So I chose him)

WOO!

Looking at a good looking guy makes your day so much better!

(Ps. Sorry for all the link ups this week. I'll try and come up with some more original stuff next week!)

Have a fun Thursday!

If You Really Knew Me

The last couple of weeks, this post has been floating around the blog world.

So I thought I'd join in on the fun.

IF YOU REALLY KNEW ME:

...you'd know that I am a huge TV junkie.

...you'd know I love nail polish and change/buy it frequently.

...you'd know that I know Spanish.

...you'd know the movies are my favorite place to go.

...you'd know I quote movies like its my job.

...you'd know I love classic movies.

...you'd know I was cheerleader/dancer all through middle and high school.

...you'd know I collect pins based on the Disney movie Sleeping Beauty.

...you'd know I've never been in love.

...you'd know I'm allergic to cats but still love them dearly.

...you'd know I'm obsessed with Harry Potter.

...you'd know I'm a HUGE book worm.

...you'd know my biggest regret from college is never studying abroad.

...you'd know I wish I was British.

...you'd know I always say I was born in the wrong era.

...you'd know I was a brunette for about 6 months in 2008.

...you'd know Dr. Pepper is my crack.

...you'd know I never leave the house without mascara on.

...you'd know I have a potty mouth.  You can thank my mother, she does too. Big time!

...you'd know I have like 8 best friends.  Each of whom are very near and dear to my heart and whom I would do just about anything for.

Well that was fun.  Did you learn anything new about me?

Have a great Tuesday! :)
I'm off to have an old fashion sleep over at one of said best friend's house.

Book Swap

It's Monday and I'm in Texas!
Which I could not be happier about.
We spent the weekend with my grandmother in New Mexico and watched my cousin get married.

Then the rest of the cousins and I went to see The Dark Knight Rises.
Which was amazing.
See it, it's good!

So on this fine Monday evening I'm sharing the two books I was sent for the 3rd round of the Book Swap:

I was partnered with one of the co-hosts:  Katie from The Nerdy Katie.

She was so sweet!
She sent me not just 1 but 2 books via my Nook.
It was so easy!

Here is what she sent me:

Book number 1:

Here is the synopsis from Barnes and Noble:

She's 33, unmarried, and stuffed into a Bubble Yum pink bridesmaid dress. And the whole town wants to fix her up with anyone with a dental plan . . .
Who's going to rescue Sadie Hollowell now?
Everyone in Lovett, Texas, knows Sadie has always been a "notional" kind of gal. She got a notion to leave town ASAP and never visit her daddy (bless his heart) again. Now she's back and got the notion to invite a good-looking, hard-muscled, total stranger to her cousin's wedding. Better a stranger than some of the losers she's dated.
Vince Haven got his muscles the hard way—as a Navy SEAL in Afghanistan. He's staying in Lovett to visit his crazy aunt—the proprietor of the local Gas and Go. Before he can get the heck back out of the small town, his aunt makes him an offer he can't refuse. Maybe he'll stick around Lovett for a while. Maybe he'll make a "go" of the Gas and Go. Maybe he'll rescue Sadie out of that pink dress!
Thoughts:
I already finished it and it was throughly enjoyable.  Light and fluffy.  Super easy read.  Actually I went online and bought a few more of hers.

Book number 2:

Synopsis from Barnes and Noble:

The historic hotel in BoonsBoro, Maryland, has endured war and peace, changing hands, even rumored hauntings. Now it's getting a major facelift from the Montgomery brothers and their eccentric mother. As the architect of the family, Beckett's social life consists mostly of talking shop over pizza and beer. But there's another project he's got his eye on: the girl he's been waiting to kiss since he was fifteen...
(via: Barnes and Noble)

Thoughts:
I'm a huge fan of series and I've read one other series by Nora Roberts called The Bride Quartet.  I really enjoyed those books so I knew I would enjoy this one.  This is the first of three and it was really good.  Made me want to move to North Carolina and open a bookstore or a bed and breakfast.
Can't wait to read the other two! :)

Pretty good hull if you ask me!

Thank you so much Katie!
You rock!

High 5 for Friday

Friday is here.
And honestly I'm thinking about one thing, and one thing only.

At this time tomorrow, I will be at the Orlando International Airport waiting on a plane to take me to Lubbock, TX where I get to see my cousin get married!

She's actually the first grandkid on my Dad's side of the family to get married.
So this is kinda a big deal.

Needless to say, we're all pretty excited.

Now lets get to the goods.
Time to share with y'all my top favorite things from this week:

Photobucket

one:
I just found out about the app, bump it.
It is so handy!
I've been using it like crazy this week to get photos from my IPhone to my Mac.
You just download the app and go to the site online then literally "bump" your phone to your computer and the photos download to your computer.
Jessica from Lovely Little Things recommends it too and if she says its good, it is! :)

two:
I went to Loft on Sunday and came away with this outfit:

Save for the purse, that is from Francesca's Boutique.
I had been searching for jean shorts that were more adult for awhile now and I finally found a pair at Loft, for half off!

three:
My roommates and I went to Celebration, Fl on Monday and had a lovely brunch at the Market Street Cafe:

four:
Suz and I drove about 30 minutes to get Sonic.
Then sat in traffic for another 30 minutes getting home.
It was worth it.
But Orlando needs more Sonics. It's one of my favorites and this is only the 2nd time I'v had it in a year.
NOT OK!

five.
As I mentioned on Wednesday I got trained at the Guest Relations Window.
After the first day, I was good to go and now I'm officially part of the Window team!
And it feels pretty damn good.
Side note: when you're training at Disney you get to wear this cute little ribbon.
Just to let everyone know that you're learning.
Which turned out to be pretty handy at the GR window.
People went easy on me.
Which is the last time that will happen.

Well there ya have it.

Not too bad of a week if you ask me!

Have a wonderful weekend friends.

It's Wednesday!

Yesterday was my first official day of training at the Epcot Guest Relations Window.
What does this mean for all you non-Disney kids?

Well for starters, it means I'm moving into the major leagues of Guest Relations!
Which is definitely a good thing.
It also means I will learn everything I probably never wanted to know about how Disney tickets are sold, redeemed, altered (either by us or by someone else), and everything else under the sun.

The Window is a whole other ball game.  So I might even have to start a deal where I post about all the crazy ass people I'm bound to encounter!
Because the window is where you really get all the crazies that come to Disney.
From today alone my brain is 2 times bigger than before I started training. And it's only been 1 day!
It will be entertaining to say the least.

Any way, today is Wednesday.

And Wednesday means it's one day closer to Saturday, which means it's one day closer to my happy little booty being back in Texas!

Wednesday also means it's time to show off all my favorites from Pinterest this week:

Here we go:

Here is a little eye candy for you on this lovely Wednesday.
You're welcome.

Side note: I am currently OBSESSED with Matt Bomer.
I honestly don't think it healthy how obsessed I am.
I mean look at this man.
HE IS PERFECT!
(he's also gay)
Which is a travesty if you ask me.

But it's ok to look and dream right!?
RIGHT!

Happy Wednesday!

Me, Myself and I (Week 1)

I was browsing through my favorite blogs last week, when I found out that Breanna over at My Beautiful, Crazy Life and some other amazing ladies (who I now follow and you should too) were doing a link up every 3rd Tuesday of the month that would allow us to get to know each other a little better!

I thought it sounded like something fun to do so y'all can get to know me a little better.

I mean it is my blog, right! :)

So here we go.

1. What is your biggest phobia?

This is gonna sound really strange but my biggest phobia is crickets!  BLEGH! During the late summer months in central Texas we get bombarded with crickets.  Seriously they are EVERYWHERE!  Especially at night when the big campus lights are on.  They flock to it.  Gives me the hibby-jibbies just thinking about it.  Even in daylight crickets are gross.  Ok, we're gonna move on from the crickets now.

2. If you could relive one day of your life, what would it be and why?

Ok, I'm gonna get kinda personal with this one.  I would relive the day I lost one of the most personal things someone can lose.  Pretty sure you all know what I'm talking about, so I don't think I need to type it.  Let's just say that my first experience was not the greatest.  If I could relive that night, I would, without a doubt and I would save it for someone I love.  I'm not saying I would have waited till marriage, but I definitely would have waited for someone who was worth it.  I was about to tell you all that I regret it 100% but then I was this quote on Pinterest:

I don't think I necessarily regret it, because I did learn from it.  But if I could, I would relive the day so I wouldn't have had to learn that lesson in such a difficult way.

3. If you could choose to stay a certain age forever, what age would it be?

Ok so I don't have a just one age, it's a whole decade.  See I grew up in the 90s and I can name about 100 ways it was better than today.  But I'll just name a few; Disney Channel and Nickelodeon actually played good shows, BSB and N*sync (this in and of itself should be enough),  Lisa Frank, Nano Pets, TGIF (ie. Boy Meets World and Saved by the Bell), Easy Bake Ovens, we actually played outside and had to use our imaginations instead of using IPhones and IPads for entertainment, and the list goes on and on and on and on.

I think this sums it up pretty well:

4. Which celebrity do you get mistaken for?

This is an easy one.
Anna Faris.
Y'all will know her as the chick from Scary Movie.
But she's also been in Just Friend with Ryan Reynolds, House Bunny, and What's Your Number with Chris Evans.
I have been hearing this since I started college my freshman year and I continue to hear it to this day.
Heck even one of my managers in Guest Relations says I look just like her.
I've heard it in the parking lot of HEB and even from guests in the Lobby at work.
I dunno if I see it, but there it is.

What do y'all think?

5. What songs are included in the soundtrack to your life?

1. Pretty Woman-  I loved this song growing up.  I would beg my parents to play it for me.
In fact I loved it so much that my dad bought me the movie when I was 7.
Yeah, as in the one about the hooker staring Julia Roberts.  When my mom asked him what the hell he was thinking.  He responded with, "Well she loves the song."

2. Just about everything by the Eagles- They are my parent's all time favorites.  They played them on car trips and all during the summer in our house.

3.  Have You Ever Really Loved A Woman by Bryan Adams- This is my all time favorite song.

4. Just Haven't Met You Yet by Michael Buble-  This has been my theme song for...well ever...because I've been single for that long. So it will need to be remembered. It also gives me hope!

5. One or two songs from my favorite musicals ( Seven Brides for Seven Brothers and Meet Me in St. Louis).

6.  Love Story by Taylor Swift:  This is just one of those songs that make me happy.

7. All of Tim McGraw's songs- He's my favorite singer.  EVER.

Those are really all the songs I can think of right now.
So well go with those.  Now I'm know there are more because my life isn't even half over.
So stay tuned for the rest.

Well there ya have em.  First 5 questions complete.
Do y'all know me a little better now?
I hope so!

Hope y'all have a great Tuesday!
