Just a Quickie.

Hello pretty ladies!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
Mine was pretty good.
I started training for my second program and I'm not gonna lie.
I'm struggling just a tad.
Not with the whole thing, just certain portions.
But I'm def having to study the content.
Blegh.
It reminds me of why I HATE Physics.

On another work note, I will be working for the next 13 days straight.
Yep, that's right.
No day off until next Friday.
Just thinking about it makes me cringe inside.

Yesterday I missed showing y'all my week of pictures.
So here they are!

1. 1/22/12:  Day spent in Celebration, FL.  My future home.
2. 1/23/12:  Celebrated 4 years with the Disney Company and got my Disney "School Picture" taken.
3. 1/24/12:  New puppy and mommy bonded already!
4. 1/25/12:  Movie night with Suz.  AMC is like my second home.

5. 1/26/12: Dinner at the Polynesian with a new friend and an old friend.
6. 1/27/12: Saw Wishes for the first time in the new year.
7. 1/28/12:  Picked up a shift in Guest Relations and saw my ECGR bestie (for all of 5 secs!)
8. 1/29/12:  I found this pin at Downtown Disney and it made me think of my best friend in California.
She loves Cruelle and I miss her.

Alrighty ladies.
I'm keeping this one short and sweet!

I'm fixin to go drink about a gallon of hot tea and honey because I've almost completely lost my voice.
No idea why or how.
But it's gone.
It is no bueno, especially considering I have to talk...A LOT in my job.

Off I go!

High Five For Friday!

It's finally Friday!
WOO HOO!

Well not my Friday, I have to work this weekend.
Actually now that I think about it.  I don't have any days off for like the next 10-12 days.
Gross.
I was supposed to have tomorrow off, but I decided to pick up a shift in Guest Relations back at Epcot.
What can I say, I just can't stay away!
Seriously though, I miss it so much.
This will give me a chance to see everyone and get back in more direct contact with guests.
YAY!

Then on Sunday I start training for my next program.
It's another Physics program and it's called Energy and Waves.
I'll give you all the details on it once training is over.

So today I've decided to participate in another link up.
This one is with Lauren over at From My Grey Desk.
She's super cute and this link up is super fun.

From My Grey Desk

Basically you share your 5 favorite things from the week.

So here we go:

One:  Wednesday I had my first real group of students for the Properties of Motion program.  I say it was my first group because I was totally SOLO!  Yep this one was all me.  It went great, but I felt terrible for the kids because they had been on a bus all night.  Got to Disney at 7:00am and we started right away.
They were pretty much checked out by the time we got to our last ride.

Two:  Seeing The Artist was definitely a favorite.  Seriously y'all have to see this movie.

Three:  Until I save just a few more dollars for an Erin Condren planner. I bought myself a temporary one from Target, that I LOVE!
(I've already got my Erin Condren planner picked out and in my shopping cart.  Just gotta press the confirm button.  Hopefully I'll be able to buy it next week!)

Still I'm pretty happy with this one.  It's getting the job done.  For now! :)

Four:  My Disney "School Picture" as I've been calling it.  It was pretty fun getting primped and pretty for a special picture.
Who knows one day I might be the CEO of Disney and they'll use that photo as remember when type thing.
Hey it could happen! :)

Five: I've gotten a little over 10 new followers over the course of this week.
Thank y'all so much!
I love hearing/meeting all of you! :)

I like this link up.
It's a good way to help you remember all the good things that have happened.
Even if you might have had a crappy week.

Hope y'all have a great weekend! :)

Toodles,

It's Ok Thursday and More

Yesterday Suzanne and I saw one of the movies on my list of "Movies to See".

We saw:

Now before I give you my review I want to warn y'all.
I don't listen to critics.
At all.
If the critics hate it, chance are I will still like it.
There you have been warned.

Now on to The Artist.

It was AMAZING.
Seriously one of the best movies I've seen.
It is so different from any other movie that is out today.
The movie it self is completely silent.
So the music, the costumes, and the actors facial expressions told the story.
You didn't need any dialogue.
I can definitely see why this movie has gotten so much attention.
We haven't had a movie like this in a long time.
That's not to say this movie is for everyone.
You have to be content with no dialogue and I think that might be hard for some people today.
But I loved it.
Go see it if you have the chance.
I give it an A+ and will fully support The Academy's decision to give it Best Picture.
Which I think it should.

Also, I'm watching Midnight in Paris as I type this post.
It too is really good.
See it! :)
Especially if you love Hemingway, Piccasso, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Dali, and a whole bunch of other famous 20th century artists and writers!

And now onto a little:
Its Ok Thursdays

It's OK

.....to love your job.

.....to be proud that you've blogged everyday this week.

.....to wish you were one of the main characters in your favorite movie.

.....to be excited for April because Titanic is coming to theatres again!

.....to think it's hilarious when your dog snores.

.....to love all your blog followers! Y'all have been amazing these last few weeks! Thank you!

......to not know what to do with yourself now that you go into work before 8 and are done before 3.
What do y'all do when you have an afternoon off?
I find that I'm just REALLY lazy!

......to have run out of It's Ok for one Thursday.

Which I have.  womp womp.
So this is where I will leave you!

Toodles,

Oh How Pinteresting!

Goodness gracious, it's Wednesday already!
Time flies, when your having fun.
Which I have been.....all week long.

Seriously this new job of mine is turning out to be FANTASTIC.
I got to tour a part of the Disney company that I never thought I would, the Disney Event Group.
Basically all the fancy events/conventions/weddings get put on by DEG.
And Youth Programs falls under them as well.
So we got a tour of the whole building.
And even got a fancy shmancy corporate picture taken. Complete with hair and makeup (and even a touch of photoshop)!

What do you think:

They gave me four copies of this bad boy.
But honestly what the heck am I supposed to do with four.
I am considering sending one to my Mom and Grandmother.
Cuz it's basically a school picture...but for adults! :)

If I had known about all the amazing things DEG does before I graduated, I might have changed my major to something in event planning.

Fun things also included date numero dos!
And I must say, it too went smashingly.
Dinner at Bahama Breeze and more "get to know you" conversations made for a VERY pleasant evening.
We have lots in common which I did not know before these two outings of ours.
I definitely went to bed with a HUGE smile on my face! :)

Ok enought chit chat for today.

On to my all time favorite link up:

On the Big Screen

Hello Hello!

Recently I've been on a movie kick.
Which is not really all that shocking if you know me.
I LOVE the movies.

And right now there a few that I am just dying to see!

So on this fine Tuesday, I'm going to share those films with you.

I am DYING to see this!
Can it please be Feb 10th already?
Source: google.com via Jackie on Pinterest

This is the history nerd in me coming out.
These guys were bad aces during WWII.
I'm so glad their story is being told on the big screen!
Source: google.com via Chris on Pinterest

This looks amazing.
I might be going to see this Wednesday afternoon!
Plus it has been winning big this awards season.
Source: google.ca via Pascale on Pinterest

I will see pretty much ANYTHING with Katherine Heigl.

This looks like a major tear-jerker and I'm ready!

Again...the history nerd in me is coming out.
This too looks like it will be great!

PS. Ignore that June 2011 at the bottom.
It's coming out next week!
No idea why that is there.

I know what you're probably thinking.
That is the most random assortment of movies EVER.
Well it is.
I love all kinds of movies and I will see just about everything.
I don't listen to critics at all.
If I like it that is all that matters.
And this is yet another reason why I would make some lucky guy a super great girlfriend.
I would be willing to see whatever movie he wanted to see!
Ha. Just kidding.
But seriously.

Alrighty well I suppose this is where I leave you for now.
Until tomorrow that is, when you get to see everything I've been drooling over on Pinterest this week!
Get excited!
I've got some good ones this week!

Toodles,

A New Addition, a Date, and Pictures!

Happy Monday pretty friends!

This was my first weekend that had fallen on the actual weekend.
Reminds me of being back in school and I must say:
I LOVE IT!

My weekend was probably one of the most eventful I've ever had!
Why you ask?

Well for starts we got a new addition to our little family.

I am pleased to introduce:

Harry Winston!
If you are wondering if we named him after THE Harry Winston as in...
"She's got the 6-carat Harry Winston, on her boney, unpolished finger."
(name the movie)
Then you are CORRECT!

Yes, we now have a dog!
Officially he belongs to my roommate Sara, but of course we will all be taking care of him.
We rescued him from a shelter so he's already house broken, doesn't bark, listens well!
Bah he's just perfect! :)

Expect to see a lot of him on here from now on!

Next: On Saturday, I went on a date!
Now this was my first date in....well forever!
Seriously FOREVER!

We'll call him A for now.
We didn't do anything super special.
It was very casual and fun.
We had drinks at one of the Disney hotels and then we were supposed to watch the fireworks at Epcot.
But we got so distracted just talking that we completely forgot about the fireworks.
We sat in the same spot talking for over 3 1/2 hours!
It was perfect!
We just got to know each other better.
And guess what?!
We're going to dinner on Tuesday!
 :)

Sunday was spent getting to know Harry better and just relaxing.

Pretty good weekend if you ask me.

Ok so now for my year in pictures update!

(Jessica over at Lovely Little Things does a collage type thing to introduce her pictures and I love it so I'm stealing the idea from her! If you haven't met her, go do it now! She's super fun! )

1.  1/13/12: New Hair Cut!
2. 1/14/12: Saw Beauty and the Beast in 3D
3. 1/15/12: First day of Y.E.S training.  3 of 5 great interns.
4. 1/16/12: Had a great skype date with my best friend.

5. 1/16/12:  Dinner at Chili's with friends.
6. 1/17/12: Game night with the same friends.
7. 1/18/12: Last day of Y.E.S. training.  Here is our entire training group.
8. 1/19/12:  Met up with my ECGR BF Jordan for a fun few hours at Animal Kingdom.

And last but not least:

1/20/12:  Got my best friends wedding invitation in the mail.
She's getting married in March!

I just love pictures.
Don't you?

Have a great Monday!

Y.E.S

For days now I've been promising y'all more on my new job!

Well I finally have the time to sit and actually tell y'all all about it!

First up:

That's my training group.

We're a mixture of Interns and Cross U's.

(Cross U means that those people already have a job elsewhere with Disney and they are Y.E.S facilitators on the side)

We all learned a program called, Properties of Motion.
It's a Physics program.

Now let me just say, I hate Physics.
HATE IT.
It was the only class in college that I ever dropped.
So when I found out I was going to be teaching not just one but two different Physics programs I kinda freaked out a little.
Nonetheless, I went in on my first day excited and eager to learn.

First day was easy peasy.
Went in and actually took the program then did some housekeeping stuff in the main office.

Days 2-5 were all about learning the actual program.
We get to take the students on Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, and Pirates of the Caribbean at the Magic Kingdom.
At each attraction we go over a different topic in Physics.
Space Mountain it's all about potential/kinetic energy and speed, velocity and acceleration.
Splash Mountain covers Indirect Measurement.
And finally Pirates covers Pneumatics and Hydraulics using our Audio Animatronics.

We keep it as simple as possible.  We're not there to teach the kids just show them how what they have already learned in their Science classes are applied in real work situations.
IE. How our Imagineers have to use Physics in the creation of our attraction at Disney.

The Y.E.S. programs number one goal is for the students to HAVE FUN.

I can't tell you how much fun I had on the last day.
It was my check out day and I had a group of 8th graders from a school here in Orlando.
They were so great!
They were smart, they listened, they answered all my questions.
I couldn't have asked for  better first group.
Now I know this won't be the case all the time.
But it was definitely a great start!

I LOVE IT!
It has brought together two of my favorite things: teaching and Disney and I could not be happier with it.

Up next I get to learn Energy and Waves (another Physics program also done at the Magic Kingdom).
And the last program I'll learn is called Millennium Cultures.
This one is at Epcot in the World Showcase and is a History program (Thank god!)

Well there ya have it.
I love my job and could not be happier right now!

I hope you all are as happy with your lives right now as I am.
If you're not, go out and do something about it.
Find something you love doing and do it.
You won't regret it.
I promise!

Have a great Sunday!
:)

Photobucket

It's Ok Thursday!

It's finally Thursday!
Which means it's my very last day of training!
Tomorrow I'll have real live students to teach.

Oh and just FYI tomorrow will be the day you get to hear all about the new job!
Figured it would make more sense to do it at the end of training rather than at the beginning or in the middle.

So for today I'm linking up (once again) for:

Its Ok Thursdays

It's OK:

....to listen to the same song about 50 times in one day.
Seriously click the play button NOW this song is AMAZING:

....to wait till all you are bathing suit bottoms to wear as underwear before you do laundry.

.....to love the fact that you have a wear a costume (aka uniform) to work because you don't have to pick out what to wear to work.

.....to watch both channels that are showing reruns of Friends.
(I kept switching back and forth as I typed this.)

.....to love my new hair cut some days and not love it others.
(What do yall think?)

.....to really want an Erin Condren planner but cringe when you think about spending $50 on one.
They look so amazing though...I think I'm starting to cave.

.....to be excited about my date tonight!  Yes I said DATE..as in with a boy! :)

....to be annoyed/excited that President Obama is giving some big important speech tomorrow at the Magic Kingdom.
(Annoyed because his visit is completely messing with my schedule tomorrow and excited because..it's the President of the United States! How can I not be excited that he's gonna be in the same place as me.)

So today I'm off work at like 12:45pm.
Thank goodness.
So I'm planning on getting a jump start on some posts that I have planned tomorrow afternoon.
That's the plan anyway.
We'll see how it actually works out.
See if I had that Erin Condren planner...blogging and my life in general would be a lot more organized.
:)

Oh How Pinteresting!

Hi friends!
So I've really slacked it this week!

But you would too, if you had to get up at 5:00am every morning and all you wanted to do was lounge when you got home from work.

But I did have a chance to peruse Pinterest a few times and when I found something I wanted to share I slapped it in a post.

So here we have:

And my favorites for the week are:

I hope you all have a fantabulous Wednesday.
I'm off to my fourth day of training!
Whew...it's s been so fun yet very draining.
I promise to give y'all a full report soon!

I Was Tagged and Got an Award!

So I rarely post on Sundays but two fun things were passed on to me, so I felt a Sunday post was in order!
(Sorry its posted kinda late. I've been up since 5:00am!)

Jessica over at Lovely Little Things did two things this week that made me smile!

First: She tagged me this fun blogger game.
Second: She nominated me for the Liebster Blog award.
How sweet is that!

So here goes with the first item:

The Blogger Game:
TAG! YOU'RE IT!

The Rules

1. You must post the rules.
2. Post eleven fun facts about yourself on the blog post.
3. Answer the questions the tagger set for you in their post, and then create eleven new questions to ask the people you've tagged.
4. Tag eleven people and link them on your post
5. Let them know you've tagged them!

Eleven Fun Facts:

1. I used to have my belly button pierced but one day I lost one of the little balls and after just 2 days it closed up. Now I'm too scared to get it re-pierced.

2.  Cheesey mini-series based on the British aristocracy are some of my favorite things to watch.

3.  Cream Cheese and potato chips is one of my favorite snacks.

4.  If my nails are painted (finger or toe) and one chips, I HAVE to take all the polish off and then repaint them. It bothers me to have chipped nails. A LOT.

5.  I hate to cook  but when I do...it's really good.
I wish I liked to do it more.

6.  I hate folding laundry and emptying the dishwasher.

7.  I get totally grossed out by crickets.  They give me the hibby-jibbies.

8.  One of these days I want to attend an awards show!

9.  I can drink caffeine at any time of the day.  Even right before bed.

10.  I was in 4-H for and showed a rabbit named Nala.  She won!

11.  I twist my right arm in a complete circle.

Here are my Questions from Jessica:

1. How did you choose your blog name?
I got the name from the Dr. Suess book and figured it was appropriate since I had a ton of new and exciting things ahead of me when I started this blog.
It is still completely true since I'm still unsure of what the future will bring.

2. If you could change your name what would you change it to?
I'm actually really happy with my name, but if I absolutely HAD to change it.
I would change it to something old fashion like Adelaide.  Victoria is up there too!

3. What's your favorite book?
I have more than just one. And honestly I couldn't pick just one.
So I'm gonna go with everything written by Judith McNaught.

4. What are 3 adjectives that best describe you?
Kind, loyal, and outgoing.

5. What blog (only one!) inspires you the most?
Yikes, just one!
I think it would have to be one of the first blogs I started reading:
If you've never met Jenni go check out her blog! It's amazing! :)

6. What is your favorite room in your house/apartment and why?
I would go with my living room because I LOVE our couch!
The roommates and I spend most of our time here.  It's just so cozy!

7. If you could only eat at one restaurant for the rest of your life which one would you pick?
Taco Cabana- Which doesn't exist in Florida.

8. If you could have one which would you choose - someone who does all of your cooking or someone who does all of your cleaning?
Someone who does all my cooking! Hands down.

9. You just won the lottery. First thing you'd do?
Pay off my student loans.
Then go to Europe.

10. What is the craziest thing you've ever done?
Drove to Kansas with my friend Taylor my freshman year of college.
I know it doesn't sound that crazy, but I didn't tell my parents I was doing it.
Eventually I did.

11. What is your life motto?
If you can dream it, you can do it.
Thank you Walt Disney.
